Hawkes Bay is located on the sunny East coast of New Zealand's North Island. The climate is described as "Mediterranean" with an average annual temperature of 19 degrees.

A massive earthquake in 1931 reshaped the region and the rebuilding resulted in the area being known as the Art Deco capital of the world.

The landscapes, the scenery, the wineries, the orchards, the cafes, the restaurants and bars, the coast line, the beaches, the sunshine and the huge range of things to do make Hawkes Bay a fantastic holiday destination.

Welcome to Hawke Bay Cycle Tours

Sheryl Summers & Greg Bigg

The scenic landscape and mild Hawkes Bay climate, together with the extensive Rotary Pathways for walkers and cyclists make the area a popular destination for people looking for an eco friendly active holiday.

We have lived in and explored the Hawkes Bay area for years and know what a great place it is to cycle around. The tours that we have designed range from short leisurely rides up to some serious pedaling trips.

Some tours include opportunities to experience shopping, wine tasting, cheese tasting, café food and all tours let you enjoy the local attractions and scenery in this fantastic area. Have a look though our web site and see what we have to offer. Our tour packages are flexible with a variety of tours to choose from. You decide what you want to do! All equipment is included.

A reasonable level of fitness is required as some of the tours are over hilly terrain and spending 2 or 3 hours in the saddle should not be too uncomfortable. A choice of accommodation packages is available, from budget to 4 star standards. We look forward to hearing from you. Greg & Sheryl.

We are based in Clive, situated on State Highway 2 between the twin Hawkes Bay cities of Napier and Hastings. (10km north of Hastings and 12 km South of Napier). Clive is a small coastal settlement on the banks of the Clive River. The river is popular with kayakers, rowers, jet skis and at the river mouth there are usually kite surfers enjoying their sport.
